Games Worth Grabbing Right Now: June 2026 Deals Round-Up
A handful of genuinely great games are going cheap right now, and a couple of them you really should not sleep on.
Right, there are some decent deals floating about at the moment and a few of them are genuinely worth your attention. Not everything on sale is worth buying, obviously. But these ones I'd actually recommend to a mate.
Returnal (PC)
Returnal is going cheap right now at Green Man Gaming, and honestly it's one of the best reasons to own a halfway decent PC. It's a third-person roguelite shooter that absolutely brutalises you, then makes you want to go again immediately. The atmosphere is oppressive in the best way, the gunplay is razor sharp, and the story is genuinely weird and interesting if you bother to pay attention to it. It had a rough reputation at launch for the save system, but patches sorted most of that out. If you've been waiting for a good moment to grab it, this is probably it. Green Man Gaming sells authorised keys, so no grey-market concerns here.
Marathon (PC)
Bungie's Marathon reboot has had a complicated reception, to put it mildly. It's a PvPvE extraction shooter and it launched into a crowded market with a lot of expectations attached to the name. Some people love it, some people bounced off it hard. If you're curious but weren't willing to pay full whack to find out which camp you fall into, it's well below its usual price at Green Man Gaming right now, which makes it a much easier gamble. Worth a look if extraction shooters are your thing.
Terraforming Mars (Board Game)
Terraforming Mars is one of those board games that sounds dry on paper and then completely takes over your evening. You're competing corporations trying to make Mars habitable, playing cards, managing resources, and slowly watching the board transform over multiple rounds. It's a proper meaty game, not a quick one, but it rewards the time you put into it. Zatu have it well below its usual price right now. If you've got a group that likes a bit of crunch, this is a brilliant shout.
Root (Board Game)
Root looks adorable. Little woodland creatures, lovely illustrations, very approachable. Then you sit down to play it and realise every faction plays completely differently, the asymmetry is wild, and it's actually a deeply strategic game about conflict and control. It's one of the most talked-about asymmetric games out there and it's currently on sale at Zatu. Fair warning though, the learning curve is real. You'll want to watch a rules video before your first session.
Sky Team (Board Game)
Sky Team is a two-player cooperative game where you and a partner play as a pilot and co-pilot trying to land a plane. The twist is you can't talk to each other while you're placing your dice. It's tense, it's quick, and it's brilliant for couples or friends who want something genuinely different. It won the Spiel des Jahres a couple of years back, which is basically the Oscars for board games. Well below its usual price at Zatu right now and honestly one of the better two-player games you can buy at any price.
Star Wars: Rebellion (Board Game)
Star Wars: Rebellion is a big box, long evening, proper event of a board game. One player runs the Empire, one runs the Rebellion, and you're basically playing out the original trilogy with all the moving parts. It takes a while to set up and a while to play, but if you're a Star Wars fan with the right group of mates it's a fantastic experience. It's been around long enough that the price has stayed fairly high, so catching it well below its usual price at Zatu is genuinely good timing.
That's the ones I'd actually spend money on from the current crop of deals. The board game selection at Zatu is particularly strong right now so if you've been putting off building out your collection, it's a decent time to sort that out.
