Great PC Games Going Cheap Right Now: July 2026
Some genuinely brilliant PC games are sitting at low prices right now, and a few of them are worth grabbing immediately.
Summer is a funny time for PC gaming deals. The big Steam sale hype has died down, but the discounts haven't really gone anywhere. Right now there are a handful of games sitting well below their usual prices over at HRKGame (grey-market keys, worth knowing) and Green Man Gaming (more of an authorised retailer). Here are the ones actually worth your time.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
If you haven't played this yet, honestly, what have you been doing. It's one of the best RPGs ever made, the Complete Edition bundles in both expansions, and it's going cheap right now. The 2022 next-gen update sorted out a lot of the performance issues too, so on a modern PC it runs and looks brilliant. Returning players who skipped the update might want a second look. This is the one I'd tell any newcomer to grab first.
God of War
The 2018 reboot came to PC a few years back and it's aged really well. Tight combat, a genuinely moving story between Kratos and Atreus, and some of the best world-building in any action game. It runs well on PC, has proper ultrawide support, and is currently on sale at a fraction of what it cost at launch. Not a skip. Buy it.
HITMAN World of Assassination
This is the full trilogy wrapped into one package, all three modern Hitman games plus Freelancer mode. It's a ridiculous amount of content for what you'll pay right now. Each level is basically a giant puzzle box and you can sink dozens of hours into a single map if you want to find every method and disguise. Genuinely one of the best value propositions in PC gaming when it's on sale, and right now it is.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
This one came out earlier in 2026 and it's already going cheap, which is a pleasant surprise. It's a proper medieval RPG set in Bohemia, no magic, no dragons, just muddy swords and genuinely interesting historical detail. The first game had a rough launch but built a devoted fanbase. The sequel is more polished and more ambitious. If you bounced off the first one, this is a better starting point. Available cheap at both HRKGame and Green Man Gaming right now, so you've got options on where to buy.
No Man's Sky
Yes, the launch in 2016 was a disaster. Everyone knows. But Hello Games have spent years fixing and expanding it, and in 2026 it's a completely different product. Proper multiplayer, base building, a story, vehicle combat, underwater exploration. It's one of the most remarkable turnarounds in gaming history. If you wrote it off years ago, it's one of the cheapest it's been and genuinely worth a second chance, especially if you fancy something relaxing to explore at your own pace.
Worth a mention
Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord is also heavily discounted right now. It left early access a while back and the mod scene is enormous. If you like medieval sandbox strategy with real-time battles, it's a solid buy at its current price. Not the most polished game in the world but it's got hundreds of hours of depth if it clicks with you.
A few on the list I'd skip for now. EA Sports FC 25 is already a year old and the next one will be out before long. Farming Simulator 25 is great but very niche. And Monster Hunter Wilds, while brilliant, is a big commitment for newcomers without someone to play with.
The Witcher 3, God of War, and Hitman are the three I'd point anyone at first. Solid games, fair prices, no regrets.
